Introduction

What examples from the video stand out for you?

You may have noticed that some of the examples from the video stand out for you. What vegetable (or fruit, or meat, or cheese) from your own background do you think deserves the Slow Food treatment of cultivation and protection? What restaurant or café do you favor that makes you want to linger over a meal and not eat and run? What obstacles get in the way of your enjoyment of those products or places?

Our food system is broken, but we can fix it!

What vegetable (or fruit, or meat, or cheese) from your own background do you think deserves the Slow Food treatment of cultivation and protection?

There are many vegetables that deserve to be protected.

Broccoli – This vegetable is one of the most widely consumed cruciferous vegetables in the world. It has been shown to have a variety of health benefits, including lowering cholesterol levels and preventing cancer. However, there are concerns about its safety because of the presence of methylglyoxal (a compound produced when cooking). It’s not clear if this chemical causes cancer or any other health problems; therefore, it would be ideal for us to have more information about how much we should consume before trying it ourselves!

Cauliflower – This vegetable contains sulforaphane which has been shown to help prevent cancer cells from growing by blocking their ability to divide properly into new ones (called mitosis). In addition to being delicious—and great at hiding food smells—cauliflower is also very versatile: you can add it into soups or salads; steam it over rice pilafs; grill cheese sandwiches around its edges…the list goes on!

What restaurant or café do you favor that makes you want to linger over a meal and not eat and run?

The Slow Food movement has been around for over a decade, and it’s still going strong. It aims to protect local food culture by promoting produce from small-scale farms, supporting artisanal producers and encouraging healthy eating habits.

But how do you know if your favorite restaurant or café deserves the Slow Food treatment? Here are some questions to ask yourself: Do they use seasonal ingredients? Are they locally sourced? Do they have a reputation for excellence in their field? Does the food taste better than what you’ve had elsewhere (and why might that be)? Are there any obstacles getting in your way of enjoying those products or places?

What obstacles get in the way of your enjoyment of those products or places?

The cost of the food is too expensive.

The location is far from where you live.

It’s too crowded, or it’s hard to get a seat at the restaurant, or there are long lines outside because there aren’t enough seats inside.

The service isn’t good: for example, the waitresses don’t smile when they greet you and serve your meal; or their attitude toward customers would make me want not to come back again in order not to deal with them again (but then again maybe I’m just being picky).

what stand out for me is our own observation about the way we process food. My country has a lot of fruits and vegetables but unfortunately, we always take it for granted. We always wanted western food because it is delicious and there are a lot of different choices available to us. In fact, a lot of people are starting to become overweight. This thing is happening because people don’t want to take care of their health and they would rather process their food using chemical instead of using natural ways. I think that we can start changing our perception when it comes to processing food by knowing how the chemical will affect our lives and the environment.

Conclusion

I don’t know about you but I think that our country has so much potential when it comes to agriculture. There are so many people who can help us out in developing better fruit and vegetable cultivation techniques so that we can grow more food without having any harmful effects on the environment or health of our families. It’s not just about consuming food, there should be more awareness as well!
