The UCSD LMSA Pre-Medical Scholars Program was created with the intention of increasing diversity in medicine and helping Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM) students get into medical school. Through a series of 10 in-person workshops, and additional one-on-one mentorship meetings, we provide medical school application support and guidance. The program is open to current UCSD pre-medical students or recent UCSD graduates who are planning to apply to medical school in 2025 or 2026

Sessions will cover topics such as: the personal statement, MCAT strategies, secondaries, interviews, and more. Priority will be given to students that are planning to take the MCAT in 2024-2025. An MCAT score is not required for acceptance into the program.

Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded a $1,500 stipend, intended to support academic needs such as MCAT prep materials.
