Introduction
Chapter 8 is about Excel and the spreadsheet software industry. I am going to assume you have read the book, but if not there’s some really good background information here (and this will be important later on).
The first section of this chapter provides a brief introduction to spreadsheet tools. We’ll cover some basic terminology, as well as how they are used in your daily life. For example:

Excel is a very versatile software package. Many of its functions and features are unique to Excel, but other packages have similar capabilities. For example, you can use some of these tools to create charts or graphs, which help you visualize your data effectively and make sense of your results quickly. In addition, there are many built-in functions in Excel that allow users to perform calculations quickly without having to write code directly into their worksheets; instead they just have access through a menu system called Formulas & Functions (or simply “F&F”). These formulas will often involve multiple steps so they may take some time before completing but when done correctly they produce accurate results every time!
We need to discuss chapter 8
In this chapter, we discuss the tools that are available to modelers in Excel.
We show how you can use these tools to create your own spreadsheet models and make your work easier and more efficient by using them together.
The goal of this chapter is not just to teach you about some amazing software but also show how it can be used for modeling efforts such as creating new business processes or designing products from scratch
