- The assessments in this course give you the opportunity to design a project plan. Throughout the 5 weeks, you will choose an organization (Wk 1), create a SWOT analysis (Wk 2), determine a project and its objectives and metrics, (Wk 3), create a project plan (Wk 4), and develop a contingency plan and then create a presentation (Wk 5). You may use the course textbook and outside resources for all assessments.
A project plan is based on research and organizational goals. To see an exemplar project plan, review the Project Plan Example.
Use the Project Plan Template and the business needs identified in your Week 3 Balanced Scorecard to:
- Select a descriptive project title.
- Develop the project objectives.
- Explain what operational steps will be taken to achieve your stated objectives.
- Identify the responsible person(s) for each operational step.
- Outline a timeline for each operational step.
- Justify the choices you made in your project plan in a 525- to 700-word response on the Project Plan Template.
Note: Review your chosen organization in the Case Studies folder on the main course page in Blackboard.
Include and cite at least two properly APA formatted sources, one of which should be the company or investor websit
Submit your assignment (note: only the completed template with response/justification/summary typed on the template).

- Faculty Note: It is important to identify a project name that describes your project. Consider how these examples give you an idea of what the project will do: "Expand Product X into International Markets," "Add Search and Sorting Options to E commerce Platform," etc. Project objectives must be created before you plan how to achieve them within your project plan. Next week, you will create an executive presentation about your company and the project, and you will also include a contingency plan (or "plan B") for your project objectives. – Dr. W
