Assessment Description
It is important that teachers collect and make learning resources accessible to students and families. This can provide further support and practice for students outside of school hours and promote ongoing learning for ELLs.
Part 1: Website Landing Page
Create a website landing page for students and their families to collaborate with them on student learning in language and content areas. For a grade level of your choice, provide resources and practice activities for ELLs in English language arts, math, science, and social studies/history. Include the following in your website landing page:
· An introduction that includes step-by-step directions for how students and families can access the resources on the website landing page
· Two practice activities for each of the content areas that can be downloaded by students and families (e.g., practice sheets, games)
· Two digital resource links for each of the content areas (e.g., interactive websites, learning apps, programs), including brief descriptions
Part 2: Reflection
In 150-200 words, write a reflection on how collaborating with families using technology resources can support their ELLs’ learning in language and content areas. Include ways you might provide support for families of ELLs who have technology-related challenges.
Support your website landing page with a minimum of three scholarly resources.
Submit your resources and a link to your website landing page in a single document.
Include graphics that are relevant to the content, visually appealing, and use space appropriately.
