Please analyze this quote:
“The intentions of the United States are always good. It is possible that in pursuit of good ends, mistakes will be made. But the basic goodness of the U.S. intentions cannot ever be questions. The intentions of the enemies of the United States are bad.”
and then in a paragraph include an explanation of why the U.S. was supportive of the French, and how this is very contriversal. please reference NSC 68.
