Within social work, how do these standards below apply to rural communities as it relates to Bias?

shall use the NASW Code of Ethics as a guide to ethical decision making. Bias can lead to unfair and unjust decisions when it comes to ethics and values. Social workers should strive to be aware of their own biases and work to ensure that their decisions are based on facts and evidence, rather than personal preferences or biases.
Standard 9. Cultural Competence: Social workers shall ensure that clients are provided services within the context of multicultural understanding and competence. Bias can lead to unfair treatment of certain cultural groups, and social workers should be aware of any biases they may possess. Social workers should strive to be culturally competent and work to understand the diverse needs and experiences of the populations they serve.
