For your first post (due by Wednesday at 11:59pm ET):

Respond to the following prompts. Be sure that you are using details from the content above:

  • Based on what you learned about Social Listening, what are some things you are now “listening” to online to improve your online reputation in your industry? How do you plan on using the content you find as you “listen” to the news in the industry through Feedly and/or Google Alerts?
  • Share the link(s) to one (or two) articles, found from either or your Google Alerts that relate to what you want to be known for in the industry.
  • It is time to start building your credibility as a subject matter expert. Pretend as though a media company just hired you to write an article about a topic relevant to your field or industry. Write a 500-700 word blog post about a topic you want to be known for. This post should be based on what you read about in the articles shared for this discussion. Be sure you are speaking with your voice and giving credit to the articles that inspired your thoughts. You may want to consider quoting the original article and building your thoughts upon theirs. Be sure to proofread multiple times before posting.
  • Don’t forget to create a clever title that would appeal to your audience and hint at the content within your blog.
