Hi, I have a paper due tomorrow and I was looking for feedback in a part of my paper.
This are the instructions: Proposed Solution
You must generate a proposal that is a solution to one of the SDG goals you chose (2: Zero Hunger), in order to implement it in Mexico. So you should include the following points:
What is going to be done? it is a project, a political reform or a program.
Who is going to participate? Whatever your proposal, you must consider that a multidisciplinary team must be participating in the process. In other words, you are expected to describe the activities, functions or participation of a multidisciplinary team (different from your career), so that the project can have a comprehensive vision and answer the question: how and why can other professionals such as architects, architects, engineers, psychologists, etc., in my project, reform or program?
Structure: you must consider that this project, reform or program has a process that must be well indicated. Therefore, your proposal must answer the following questions: how am I going to implement it? What resources do you need? How long will it last? When is it intended to start and end? what results are expected? How will I measure the results?
And this is what i wrote.
The problem of hunger as shown above affects people all over the world and solutions must be found to eliminate this problem. For this reason, it is of the utmost importance that an initiative be launched to alleviate hunger in Mexico. Through the implementation of a comprehensive strategy that takes into account a variety of domains, including public policies, access to food, educational opportunities, and health care, the main objective of this project that I propose is to meet the goal established at the beginning of the document, which is to end hunger by 2030 and ensure access for all people, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations, including infants, to healthy, nutritious and sufficient food for all year. (United Nations, 2020)
This project will be carried out by a group of professionals from various areas, including nutritionists, public health specialists, economists, psychologists, sociologists and other specialists, who will work together to form a multidisciplinary team. This group will collaborate to design and execute a comprehensive plan to reduce the huge problem that is hunger in Mexico.
Increasing access to food, improving food security and reducing the incidence of food insecurity are some of the objectives that the team will be in charge of developing and promulgating public policies to achieve. This implies the implementation of programs such as the delivery of direct subsidies to low-income families and the delivery of food assistance to vulnerable populations. In addition to improving agricultural production, food distribution and storage systems, and nutritional education, the group will seek to strengthen these infrastructures.
In addition to this, the team will aim to expand access to healthcare in the hope of reducing hunger-related illnesses. This would involve activities such as increasing access to health care providers and providing health insurance to low-income families. In addition, the group will strive to expand educational opportunities to decrease the number of illiterate people as a result of hunger. This would involve activities such as granting scholarships to students from low-income families and promoting educational opportunities for children and adolescents living in rural areas.
Finally, the group will work to expand people’s access to clean water and sanitation facilities to prevent diseases caused by hunger. This implies the implementation of measures such as expanding access to clean water and sanitation facilities in rural areas, as well as improving water infrastructure in metropolitan areas.
The execution of this project will be carried out in two stages. The formulation of the plan as well as the introduction of new public regulations will make up the first part of the project. This stage will last about six months. During this stage, the group will be responsible for developing and implementing multiple public policies and programs.
The implementation of the plan will constitute the second step of the process. This stage will last about a year. During this stage of the process, the team will be responsible for monitoring how far along the initiatives are and making any necessary adjustments to ensure the plan is successful.
This project is expected to cost 10 million Mexican pesos. This budget will cover the cost of implementing the strategy, which includes the cost of hiring personnel, purchasing materials, and paying other associated charges.
Would love to be graded and to have feedback on how to improve it. Thank you.
