We all have traditions and habits, and we may even have superstitions that we believe help us to prepare for exams. A week before a big exam, I put myself on a “brain food” diet and I get a head massage. Whether or not it really does help improve my thought processes, I believe that it does and it may be enough that I’ve got that mindset.
