The 80/20 rule relates to the usefulness of a quick start guide by saving time and only including the main points for the product. By prioritizing the important main points, you save the use

Please help me how i can reply on this post below Of my class-fellow. I asked to respond to at least one other student in the class on his or her response.
Most quick start guides are one page long. They have to be one page so that the user can look at them at a glance. What are some of the challenges to reducing a set of instructions of, for example, 3-4 pages into one page? While condensing information down from 3-4 pages into one the biggest challenges faced would be ensuring the information is easy to read and contains all the pertinent information need to understand the product. The purpose of a quick start guide is so users have a reference to use to make understanding the product easier, so ensuring everything that is needed is including and nothing is left for interpretation would be difficult. The second challenge would be making sure the guide flows and is easy to read, there’s a pattern to the information and the user isn’t having to look in many places for steps.
How does the 80/20 rule relate to the usefulness of quick start guides?
The 80/20 rule relates to the usefulness of a quick start guide by saving time and only including the main points for the product. By prioritizing the important main points, you save the user time from reading extra information that may be related to the product, however, isn’t required to understand the product. This helps save time for the readers and get straight to the point without wasting the users time reading information that isn’t required to know in order to use a product.
In your experience, when you purchase a product or a new piece of software, do you tend to use the user manual more, or do you tend to use the quick start guide more? Why?
Typically, when purchasing a new product, I have no clue how to set up or use I don’t use a manual or start guide I just start using the product, I do this because I don’t like reading stuff that is usually self-explanatory. When this tactic doesn’t work, I will then use the quick start guide, I prefer using the shorter version of instructions to save time and they typically are simpler instructions. When purchasing a new product, I am usually eager and excited to start using that product, where long complex instructions is the last of my concerns
