Portions can be represented in the form of fractions, decimals, percentages, and ratios.
Examine and critically analyse the suitability of using the different ways of representing portions in different circumstances, and difficulties that learners can experience with the different representations. Why are they all necessary and when is one more suitable than another? Give examples and use diagrams to illustrate your response where possible.
