  • What is the difference between diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)?
  • Can we really "manage" DEI? What skills and understanding does it take?
  • Review your stated core beliefs, values, and strengths from Case 2. How do they contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable work environment? How does this align with your authentic leadership?

They are ambition, respect, and success

2. As a leader, what are three (ONLY three) of your core values?

Loyalty, Fairness, Responsibility  3. As a leader, what are your core strengths?

They are ambition, teamwork, learning, confidence, and growth

B) Please complete each of the following sentences (note, you only need to complete the sentence prompt):

A good organization has: Clear goals, effective communication, and a positive culture.  A leader always: Sets a positive example, listens to feedback, and puts the needs of their team before their own.

When someone wants to be influential in organizations, they must: Build strong relationships, demonstrate their expertise, and consistently deliver results.

In order to get ahead in an organization, I always: Work hard, take initiative, and seek out opportunities for growth and development.

As a leader, I like to: Empower my team, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate their successes.

When faced with conflict, I usually: Approach it with an open mind, seek out understanding, and work towards a resolution that benefits all parties involved.

My responses to the seven prompts does align with my beliefs, values, and strengths because they permeate my personal fulfillment and validate my authenticity. It provided some insight into who I am and my capacity to influence both myself and other people.  How do your core beliefs, values, and strengths align with a career in the public or nonprofit sector?

My core beliefs, values, and strengths align well with a career in the public or nonprofit sector. My belief in serving others aligns with the focus on serving communities and stakeholders in the public or nonprofit sector. My value of clear communication aligns with the need for effective communication and collaboration within these sectors. My strength in inspiring and motivating teams aligns with the need for strong leadership to drive positive change in the public or nonprofit sector.
