Choose a threatened or endangered species in Florida (plant, animal, or invertebrate (except the Florida panther since an example is provided) and create a one to two-page visually attractive fact sheet that serves as a public service announcement on that species. A fact sheet is a document (printed or online) for homeowners that is often 8.5″ x 11″, so that it can be printed. This can be easily done in Word or it can be done in another program such as PowerPoint if the size scaled to 8.5″ x 11″.. Include the following topics:
Description of the organism (include photos), may want to include items such as diet, population, nesting behavior for animals or sun/shade conditions, water requirements, and growing conditions for plants;
Counties in Florida where it can be found (can include a map) and habitat i which it is located (pine flatlands, coastal dunes, etc.);
Reasons why it is being threatened; and
Ways to help the population.
The fact sheet should be in your own words and not copied and pasted from websites.
