Each entry should be set up as an O.A.R entry. With such an entry, the “O” is for observation. This is the part of your journal entry where you describe what you observed as it relates to the interaction of two or more people engaged in
communication/non-verbal communication. The “A” provides you with an opportunity to allocate specific non-
verbal communication terminology and definitions to the specific behaviors you observed. The “R” or Reflection
entry allows you to reflect and think about how your perception of the interaction can influence the meaning of
the communication, Or, you canwriteabout your thoughts and/experience as an observer.
