The world is running out of energy. We’re using more and more of it, but we’re not producing as much as we used to. The solution? Renewables, of course! But renewables are expensive and slow to develop. This leaves us with two options: explore non-renewables such as coal or oil, or rely on nuclear power plants for our energy needs – which is what the United States has been doing for over 50 years now. In this post I will explain why relying on non-renewables is bad for your health and the environment; how it relates to climate change; and why we need to move away from all of that if we want a sustainable future.”
